My Favorite Table in the House

I love my nook!  It’s a small and cozy area of the house, an extension of our kitchen, with big, tall  windows, and a great view of our backyard. Especially, our backyard fountain.

The whole area is very casual and beachy.  It’s my favorite area.

Usually, it is covered with projects that are waiting to be implemented.  But, when I do catch up with my projects, I love to decorate the table with whatever casual holiday things might be appropriate at the time.

I found these beauties at the Home Centric Store and loved them!  They are very beachy Christmas.  Perfect for all the food that I tend to give out as gifts to our loved ones for Christmas.

Me, Ready to Start The Project

Every Project In my Nook Is Always A Fun One

My gift intention was to give the gift of a Christmas Cocktail, the foundation for one anyway.

That way, the recipients of the gift can use their own imagination and create their own cocktail using these basic ingredients.  They could even create their own new signature drink for themselves for the holidays.

Making Simple Syrup

Making Simple Syrup is actually quite easy.

You just need some sort of a pot, how large is up to you.  Depending on how much you care to make.

My recipe is 1 Pint Water and 7 Cups Granulated Sugar

(You can use other sweetener such as Coconut Sugar, or Brown Sugar.  It’s up to you.)

You just want to heat up the sugar to a boil and stir occasionally.  You can cover and simmer for about 25 minutes.  Once heated and the sugar is dissolved, remove from heat and allow to cool.
